Well, shipmates, it’s been one hell of a ride.
The time has come to pull into port for a much-needed refit. Between Colin’s ever-expanding career (and upcoming nuptials to the brilliant and patient Hannah) and Captain Red’s rare craving for something—ironically—less audacious and a little less all-consuming, the tides have shifted. Behind the scenes, we’re hard at work refining our mission—leaner, sharper, and more focused than ever.
But make no mistake—we’re not dropping anchor for good. Many of our favorite projects continue full sail ahead: the Children’s VR program, our Make-A-Wish initiative, upcoming documentaries, and cutting-edge genomic research. The branding? Still evolving. The energy? Unstoppable.
The strongest headwinds we’ve faced, unsurprisingly, have been funding. We firmly believe that scalable, wind-powered, cost-effective research isn’t just possible—it’s essential. But with Washington more interested in sound bites than science and policies prioritizing short-term profit over long-term survival, this simply isn’t the best moment to be audacious in education, research, and environmental exploration.
That said, Captain Red and a small crew are pressing on independently, charting their next course—whether heading south to explore climate change’s impacts on Indigenous communities along the Amazon River or navigating the legendary Northwest Passage to study Arctic warming and its human toll. While these upcoming voyages won’t fly the Expedition Audacity banner, they carry the same spirit of discovery, truth-seeking, and commitment to protecting the planet.
To our advisors, crew, sponsors, friends, and fellow dreamers: thank you. You’ve helped us push boundaries, challenge norms, and build something bigger than ourselves. This isn’t the end—it’s just a new tack. The science is real, the stakes are high, and we’re not backing down. Our fundraising efforts continue, and our resolve remains unshaken.
Fair winds, following seas, and here’s to intelligent rebellion. Stay tuned.
